SportsBox ("we," "our," or "us") is a live sports scoreboard application for Fire TV, Android TV, and Google TV. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.

This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights with respect to that information. By using SportsBox, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

SportsBox collects only the minimal data necessary to deliver its core functionality:

• App Settings & Preferences — Your selected leagues, conference filters, and display preferences (auto-cycle, attract mode) are stored locally on your device. These settings are never transmitted to or stored on any external server.
• Device Identifiers — An anonymous device identifier may be used solely to associate your subscription status with your device. This identifier cannot be used to personally identify you.
• Crash Reports & Diagnostics — If the app crashes or encounters an error, anonymized diagnostic information may be collected automatically to help us improve stability. This data contains no personally identifiable information.
• Outbound API Requests — When SportsBox fetches live scores, odds, and standings, requests are made to third-party sports data providers. These requests include standard technical metadata (IP address, request timestamp) as handled by the provider's infrastructure.

We believe in privacy by design. The following data is never collected by SportsBox:

• Your name, email address, or any personal contact information
• Your viewing or browsing history
• Your betting activity or wagering history
• Location data of any kind
• Voice or audio data
• Data from other apps on your device
• Any data sold to or shared with advertisers

SportsBox offers full access through a subscription. All subscription purchases and payment processing are handled entirely by the app store platform you use:

• Amazon Appstore — Purchases made through Fire TV are processed by Amazon. Amazon's Privacy Policy governs the handling of your payment and billing information.
• Google Play — Purchases made through Android TV or Google TV are processed by Google Play Billing. Google's Privacy Policy governs the handling of your payment and billing information.

SportsBox never receives, stores, or has access to your credit card numbers, billing address, or any other payment details. We only receive a confirmation token from the app store confirming that a valid subscription exists for your device.

SportsBox displays live sports data sourced from third-party providers. No personally identifiable information is transmitted to these providers on your behalf.

• Scores & Game Data — Live scores, standings, game leaders, and league statistics are sourced from ESPN's publicly available data API. Requests to ESPN's API include standard HTTP metadata. We do not transmit any user-identifiable data to ESPN.
• Betting Odds — Live point spreads, totals, and moneylines are sourced from a third-party odds data provider. This data is displayed for informational and entertainment purposes only. SportsBox does not facilitate, process, or record any betting or wagering activity.
• News Headlines — Sports news headlines displayed in the app are sourced from a publicly available RSS feed. No user data is sent in connection with news requests.

Odds displayed in SportsBox reflect market data at the time of the last refresh and may not represent current lines. Always verify odds directly with a licensed sportsbook before placing any wager.

SportsBox relies on the following third-party services to operate:

• ESPN API — Provides live scores, standings, game summaries, and league leaders. Requests include standard HTTP metadata only.
• Odds Data Provider — Provides live betting lines for supported sports. No user-identifiable data is included in these requests.
• Yahoo Sports RSS — Provides sports news headlines for the in-app ticker. No user data is included in RSS requests.
• Amazon Appstore — Governs app distribution and in-app purchases for Fire TV users.
• Google Play — Governs app distribution and in-app purchases for Android TV and Google TV users.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your information to any third party for marketing or advertising purposes.

Because we collect minimal data, our retention practices are straightforward:

• Local app settings are stored on your device and are deleted when you uninstall SportsBox.
• Anonymous crash and diagnostic data is retained only as long as necessary to diagnose and resolve issues, typically no longer than 90 days.
• Subscription tokens are retained only as long as your subscription remains active, solely to verify your entitlement to access the app.

SportsBox is not directed at children under the age of 13 and we do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. The odds data displayed in SportsBox is intended for adults only.

If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at the address below and we will take steps to delete such information.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify users — for example, through an in-app notice or by posting a notice on our website.

Your continued use of SportsBox after any changes to this policy constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
